Soft cover book about conceptual Australian artist John Barbour.
A chronology of Barbour’s career beginning with the work; ‘immuredinpace’, (1988), through to his final exhibition held at the yuill|crowley gallery in Sydney. The cover features a circular die-cut, inspired by a major work displaying the words ‘No More Holes’. John Barbour’s experimental and interdisciplinary practice comprises works on paper and cloth, sometimes incorporating deliberate stains, tears and child-like hand-embroidered text.
Born 1954, The Hague, Netherlands. Lived and worked in Adelaide, South Australia. Died 2011.
